July 2010 Gadget Show special advertising campaign for JCDecaux UK

As a 1 off special in conjunction with the Innovate Team of JCDecaux and Channel 5 “The Gadget Show” P & K Signs & Designs help to produce and install a 6m cut out of Suzi Perry with an illuminated logo panel to her left hand side. Filming from production to installation took place in conjunction with Channel 5 who were a pleasure to work with throughout the project.

June 2010 Opening of the Museum of Museums at Manchester in conjunction with The Trafford Centre

The new Museum of Museums offers the public a chance to visit a wonderful collection of various exhibits all under one roof, an experience unlike any other Museum! P & K Signs & Designs were employed to undertake installation of all exterior and interior operational signage prior to the opening of the Museum and have since continued to supply various display items as the collection of exhibits is being expanded.

Feb 2010 Installation of double sided advertising boxes for Peel Advertising

In conjunction with our much valued business partner Peel Advertising, P & K Signs & Designs Ltd install a new double sided illuminated advertising box at The Trafford Centre, Manchester. The work entailed removal of existing signage, addition of new structural steelwork and then installation of two new 6m x 3m illuminated boxes with external cladding added to complete the structure.

Operations Manager Mathew Carroll commented “P&K Signs have completed a number of high profile projects in and around the Peel estate over a number of years and this site is just another example of the kind of quality workmanship we have come to expect from this professional signage contractor."

Jan 2010 Launch of Burger King advertising campaign for JCDecaux UK.

With sites in London, Manchester, Birmingham & Liverpool, P & K Signs & Designs help complete the fabrication and installation of speciality displays onto billboards showing a Burger King “Whopper” meal being eaten away over a two week period! This eye catching display attracted huge public attention.

Dec 2010 Display materials for Pravda 41 “Tiger Beer” advert

Pravda 41 is a long standing business partner of P & K Signs & Designs specialising in set design for the film & tv industry. The latest job involved a shoot at Bar38 in Manchester on behalf of Tiger Beer which starred Wayne Rooney and involved production of a specially designed 13m reflective backdrop with semi translucent glazing above allowing for coloured spot lighting to be used behind the set. The full bar window face was then covered with a frosted vinyl to retain light within the area and a large number of perfectly sized CNC cut acrylics were used to complete the set giving it a stunning, mesmerizing look perfect for the planned shoot! The work was completed over a week time scale and was a great success.

Chief Production Designer Jane Carroll commented “This was an especially exciting project for me to work on and my first port of call for any specialised graphic services is P & K Signs & Designs Ltd. As per usual they delivered exactly what I needed, installed it professionally and within a very tight timescale to suit the planned filming on a temporary set. Nov 2010 Panasonic “Larger than Life” advertising campaign

Teaming up with our long standing business partner Imedia Systems Ltd of London, P & K Signs & Designs install larger than life models in the city centres of Manchester, Leeds & Edinburgh. Super size models 3d models including a 10ft post box, a huge park seat & giant acorn were installed in this remarkable display that certainly grabbed the public’s attention. Managing Director, John Dickins commented “This was a truly eye catching marketing campaign that really did get the customers message across in larger than life terms! With the help of P & K Signs & Designs the campaign ran like clockwork which and the feedback from the end user was delighted with the campaign. My congratulations go to P & K Signs & Designs on completing another job on time without a single hitch.”
