At P & K Signs & Designs Limited we regularly share our success with those organisations in need of support.  On an annual basis we regularly make cash donations and actively support by means of free signage the following worthy organisations:

Hazel Grove Carnival

This event takes place annually in July and is a wonderfully colourful parade through the town of Hazel Grove watched by thousands of residents from the Stockport area and much further afield.  Since incorporation P & K Signs & Designs has sponsored the event on an annual basis by means of advertising in the Carnival brochure and supplying free signage to the event organisers.  All the people who arrange the parade work long hours in their own time and all monies raised are returned back to the local community to various charitable causes. A truly beautiful parade run by a passionate and dedicated team of kind individuals.  This year’s parade took place in glorious sunshine and was the best ever yet!

Charitable events take place throughout the year leading up to the carnival at various local establishments in the Hazel Grove area.

Tumaini Home of Hope

Tumaini Home of Hope was born out Joan Smiths determination to help children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.  Some years ago Joan Smith, an ex-probation officer from Kent, England, retired to the shores of Mombasa, Kenya and while doing voluntary work at a hospital clinic she was asked to help a small girl who was very ill.  After giving her hospital treatment she was taken into the care of her uncle.  Some months passed and Joan was anxious to find out how the little girl was keeping.  She learned to her distress that, because the child had AIDS her uncle had taken her out into the bush and abandoned her, leaving her on her own. The seed to help these children was sown, and Joan has spent her retirement tirelessly working to establish, build, maintain and improve the orphanage she has founded.

Race for Life (Cancer Research UK)

Another regular charity we sponsor, “Race for Life” provides funding to Cancer Research UK by means of arranging various sponsored events throughout the course of the Year.  Prima Doors Ltd of Stockport recently took part in a sponsored event at Woodbank Park (Stockport) in June 2010 and in the process raised over £2500 which we were more than delighted to contribute to.  A big thank you and congratulations to all those at Prima Doors and to all of the other individuals who took part raising funds for a truly worthy charity.
